Dear Mr.Otto:
On February 13, 1985 the Environmental Management Commission adopted "Division 1, Chapter 1-6,
Application Fees," most recently amended on February 15, 2021, as part of the Department's rules and
regulations. The regulations (also known as the ADEM Administrative Code) established a fee structure
to be imposed by the Department for processing hazardous waste permits and related documents.
A Permit Renewal Application was received on April 4, 2024. Before continuing to process the Permit
Renewal Application, the Department must be in receipt of$138,045. A calculation sheet indicating the
units and cost for each unit is enclosed as Attachment 1. All fees should be made payable to the Alabama
Department of Environmental Management and sent to the attention of Mr. Russell A. Kelly, Permits and
Services,Alabama Department of Environmental Management; Street Address: 1400 Coliseum Boulevard,
Montgomery,AL 36110-2059; Mailing Address: PO Box 301463,Montgomery,AL 36130-1463. All fees
paid pursuant to ADEM Administrative Code are non-refundable. Please include on the check a reference
to AHWMMA Permit Fees for EPA ID No.ALD 058 221326.
Your response within 30 calendar days of receipt of this letter will be appreciated so the Department can
continue the Permit Renewal Application review process.
