Dear Ms. Mastin,
The Alabama State Port Authority(ASPA)is currently preparing a Permit Renewal Application for the
Alabama Wood Treating Corporation (AWTC)site.ASPA plans to submit the application by April 2,2024.
Therefore,ASPA respectfully requests an extension of the March 1,2024 due date for submission of the
2023 Annual Groundwater Monitoring and Corrective Measures Effectiveness Report(CMER)for the
AWTC site until May 31, 2024.
The ASPA appreciates ADEM's considerations of this extension request.Should you have any questions
